Living Boldly in the End Times

“But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.” – Matthew 6:33
Lately, people have been talking a lot about the End Times and the return of the Messiah. Whenever major world events take place, such as a pandemic or war, people wonder: Is this time Messiah will return? Even Yeshua’s disciples when they were on the earth wondered if the End Times were near.
These days, many wonder whether it is the right time to give everything for the sake of the Kingdom. Is it time to be more devoted to our faith and take bolder actions? Having strong faith often leads people to do extraordinary things.
Jesus, during His time on earth, radically did things. He brought the idea of the heavenly Kingdom to earth and showed us how to live it out daily through our actions, with love, and within our communities.
“Once, on being asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, Jesus replied, ‘The coming of the kingdom of God is not something that can be observed, nor will people say, ‘Here it is,’ or ‘There it is,’ because the kingdom of God is in your midst.’” – Luke 17:20-21
While we anticipate His return, we’re called to love others and put their needs above our own. This means giving without holding back, loving everyone, and choosing what’s right over what’s easy.
Some may think this is a radical way of living. I’ve always been told to be moderate and fit in with society. But our true home is in heaven, not here on earth. So, our actions should reflect that, even if they seem strange to others.
Our responsibility is to live out Kingdom values, regardless of whether the timing is right or not. The Kingdom is not something to be postponed; it is imminent. Let’s live radically for Messiah’s Kingdom, regardless of the opinions of others. After all, they too may one day long for the same citizenship we embrace.
“But while they were on their way to buy the oil, the bridegroom arrived. The virgins who were ready went in with him to the wedding banquet. And the door was shut.” – Matthew 25:10
“Be dressed ready for service and keep your lamps burning, like servants waiting for their master to return from a wedding banquet, so that when he comes and knocks they can immediately open the door for him. It will be good for those servants whose master finds them watching when he comes. Truly I tell you, he will dress himself to serve, will have them recline at the table and will come and wait on them.” – Luke 12:35-37
