Yom Kippur falls on Wednesday evening, the 1st October 2025, at 18h15
for the Kol Nidre service.
Then, on Thursday morning at 10h00, we gather for the morning service which is followed by a time of prayer and confession.
Our minhag or custome is to pray in line with the sacrifices that the High Priest offered up on the day of Yom Kippur.
1) Sacrifices for Himself and his household
2) Sacrifices for the Levitical priesthood (we are the priesthood of believers)
3) Sacrifices on behalf B’nei Yisrael – the Jewish people
It is a day of fasting and devoted to prayer. We are instructed to "afflict our souls" and we fulfill this mitzvah through fasting for 24 hours
and devoting our time to seeking HaShem
It is customary not to wear leather and to wear a white garment.
We invite you to join with us as we gather to fulfill HaShem's instruction to observe His - מקראי קודש - His holy convocations and
His set-apart festivals - מוֹעֲדֵי יְהוָה
